Name – NishaMarandi
Village – Bhutokoriya
Panchayat– Bhutokoriya

My name is Nisha Marandi, I am a resident of village Bhutokoriya, Panchayat Bhutokoriya. When I was 7 years old, my mother and father died. I have three sisters. Our financial condition was very bad. When I reached adolescence, my menstruation started. At that time, I did not know anything about menstruation and I was very scared as to what disease I had contracted, out of fear I did not go out of the house for two days, during that time I was having a lot of pain in my stomach and I was not able to even tell anyone. Because I was feeling very shy and scared, when Didi from Pravah organization came to give training on for Menstrual Hygiene Management and gave information about menstruation, how to take care of hygiene during those days as it is natural process for girls and women and for which one should have to talk to openly. I was given detailed information about this and now I am taking care of my health. I also openly discuss menstruation with my sisters and other girls nearby me of same age, aware them about it so that they do not worries with this, now we are taking good care of our health.
